Aditya always wanted to visit New Zealand. He had read a lot about the country from his friends who stayed there. He’d heard about the rugged coastlines, the alpine glaciers, the lakes, and all the natural attractions he wanted to discover. Aditya got his visa and was lucky enough that his leave for two weeks was approved. He started preparing for the journey. He had already made a list of places he wished to visit. Napier was famous for its wineries and Aditya wanted to explore wineries like Moana Park winery, the Brookfields Vineyards, Linden Estate winery. He even considered going for a half-day guided tour to Napier’s Wineries. Apart from that, he wanted to visit the Te Mata Peak. He had heard that from the peak one could get a sweeping view of the entire Hawke’s Bay. He had read that Te Mata Peak holds significance in the local Maori folklore. It offers beautiful hiking and mountain biking trails. He also wanted to visit the oldest prison of New Zealand, the Napier Prison. It once housed some of the most notorious criminals of New Zealand and is home to a number of ghost stories. He wanted to visit its hanging yard, cells, and the cemetery. He was particularly interested in the evening ghost walks organised there.
